The Roundtable may be over, but the work of religious freedom continues in everyday civic life.

At the 5th Annual Freedom of Religion Roundtable, our conversation focused on what it means to be peacemakers. Religious freedom is not only a legal protection. It also carries a responsibility to honor dignity, listen across differences, and build trust in our communities.

Law matters, but lasting civic peace also depends on how people treat one another.

What is one take-away you’re carrying forward from the Roundtable?

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 5th Annual Freedom of Religion Roundtable at Kennesaw State University. It was an outstanding evening!
Community leaders, faith representatives, students, and advocates came together for a thoughtful conversation on religious liberty, human dignity, and the role of peacemakers in working together across faiths and backgrounds to strengthen our communities.

A special thank you to our keynote speaker, Tami Pyfer, Chief Impact Officer for UNITE and Co-Creator of the Dignity Index, for her thoughtful and impactful message on fostering unity and human dignity in our communities.
We were also honored to hear from an outstanding panel of speakers:
• Imam Bashir Mundi, West Cobb Islamic Center
• Andrew Lewis, Founder of First Five Freedoms
• Tameka Bell, Director of Community Organizing at Ebenezer ACTS
• Buzz Brockway, Executive Vice President of Public Policy at the Georgia Center for Opportunity and former Georgia State Representative
• Hannah Clayson Smith, International Center for Law & Religion Studies and Religious Freedom Alliance Council
Thank you to our speakers, attendees, and partners for making it a meaningful evening!

Early voting in Georgia ends TODAY! Election Day is May 19.

Georgia voters still have time to take part in the May 19 primary election. Early voting is available through May 15, and regular Election Day voting takes place on May 19. Primary elections often receive less attention than general elections, but they are still an important part of the public process.

Voters should check their county’s official voting locations and hours before going.

With early voting nearing its end, Georgia voters still have time to check the dates that matter before Primary Election Day.

The May 19 primary is coming up, and the dates can sneak up fast. May Matters Georgia is here to help voters keep track of what matters: when early voting ends, when to request a ballot, and when to show up to vote. A few minutes of planning now can save a lot of stress later.
