Good morning fellow Elks. Saturday, June 13th golfers gathered at the Kenai Golf Course for the annual Jack Focose Memorial Golf Tournament.

First, I want to thank everyone for coming and to thank the incredible volunteers who made this year’s tournament possible. Also, want to thank the sponsors who also made this tournament possible.

The day started at 8 am with coffee and donuts along with team registration. Tee-off started around 9am and the fun started. The golfers had a great weather day to play. Slight breeze and no rain.

Around 2:30pm the golfers were finishing their final round and began making their way to the lodge for awards, dinner and adult beverages.

During dinner, Janice Brucchauser-Levra, ASEA President, gave a brief speech and thanked everyone.

Attached are pictures from the Golf Tournament. Thank you again for volunteering and participating in the tournament.

Better late than never! June’s Kenai Elks Volunteer of the Month is (drum roll please). Holly Wrate!

Holly has literally volunteered a lot of hours to help with Lodge Activities, Youth Activities and Kitchen Activities. Please join me in thanking Holly for her dedication to the Kenai Elks Lodge.

There were many volunteers to select from. I want to personally thank each and every volunteer who has supported the lodge because without volunteers every lodge would have challenges. Volunteers are the backbone of every lodge. Again, thank you!
