We are loving the beauty of Alaska from fall colors of September snowfall. Winter doesn't even start until December. It was -4 this past week when we drive in to kenai. These Texans are having to adjust to these single digit temps. We have been preparing retreat in a box for our missionary families which numbered 92 total families. Hopefully next year we will be able to see them face to face and no covid.

Marvin the moose here....We have completed our 4500 mile trip to Soldotna, Alaska. Dad is expressing how he felt in the pictures below just pure relief of arriving. Mom and I are so thankful to be here too. We are resting up for a few days with one of the ministry families of arctic barnabas until we get settled. We want to thank everyone for your prayers to get us here safely. We appreciate it so much.

Marvin the moose here...Day 10 of our trip and we have now made it to Anchorage! Dad is exhausted after driving in the mountains for 7 1/2 hours on bumpy narrow roads. We did a lot of praying on this trip going down steep mountains. God brought us through again. He is so faithful. Here is some of God's artwork as we traveled today. Tomorrow we will get to our destination. Only about 3 1/2 hour drive to stay with sweet friends of Arctic Barnabas family.

Marvin the moose here.... it was a long day for us, but God out did himself on the beauty of our travels in British Columbia and the Yukon yesterday. Pictures do not do justice to the beauty we saw. Mom must have taken 100 pictures. Oh did I mention that we saw my uncle Max trotting across the road in front of us. Dad was so excited! So was mom. She couldn't get a picture of him in time. We saw a baby bear, caribou, and two different herds of buffalo right on the shoulder. To top off our trip there was a fox in the parking lot of our hotel after driving about 12 hours.

Marvin the moose here... on Wednesday September 2nd we have traveled now a total of 2,752 miles since leaving home and have now finally arrived on the famous Alaska Highway. Mom and Dad got out of the car so we could prove it ya'll. Beautiful day for a drive. We have seen much more fields of hay than all over Texas. Much more beautiful scenery to

Marvin the moose here... today was a rest day in Shelby, Montana since Dad drove 2000 miles since leaving central Texas last Friday. We took a lot of pictures in this little town of about 1,800 people. We also reconnected with an old friend from back home as you will see in the pictures. Heading north tomorrow morning.

Marvin the moose reporting in on our trip to Alaska.... Day 3. We traveled from Burlington, Colorado to Sheridan, Wyoming. Here are some pictures of the trip. Mostly miles and miles of empty land. Population of wyoming is about 579,000. We saw the home office and distribution center of Dad's favorite store (Cabela's).
