A Meaningful New Feature at Clear Lake State Park
Clear Lake State Park Interpretive Association (CLSPIA) is proud to announce a heartfelt new program: Memorial Plaques affixed to benches throughout Clear Lake State Park.
The idea was introduced by Membership Chair Ferdous H. Kamfar in July 2024, and we’re thrilled to see it becoming a reality. These plaques offer a beautiful, lasting way to honor loved ones, past and present, in a place that so many hold dear.
This past Monday, CLSPIA joined the Kelseyville Blue Zones senior walking group (MOAI) for a lovely potluck celebrating May birthdays. The gathering also included a touching tribute to Tom’s wife, Judy, the first of several honorees whose memorial plaques will soon be affixed to designated park benches. Joining Judy’s plaque will be one for Dennis and one for fellow member Bob, with more to follow as our program grows.
CLSPIA’s mission centers on public education, children’s learning activities, and wildlife conservation, and this program reflects that same spirit of community and care for the park we all love.
Interested in purchasing a memorial plaque for someone special? Please send us a message, we’d be honored to help you create a lasting tribute.
