In honor of Friday being Juneteenth, the City of Keene and its partners will be hosting a celebration featuring live performances, delicious food, and activities, all here at Keene Parks and Recreation's very own Fuller Park. We're so lucky to have a welcoming community that celebrates all the wonderful things that various cultures bring to our city, we hope to see you there!

Our Juneteenth Celebration is just around the corner, and we can't wait to gather as a community for an evening of music, poetry, history, and celebration. Enjoy live performances, meaningful experiences, and opportunities to reflect on the ongoing journey toward freedom and equity.

Mental Health Runner Week 2!

Youth Services is on a roll with forgetting to take pictures. When we say Youth Services, we mean Alyssa is great at forgetting to take pictures! Please enjoy all the cool gear our runners got! We are so thankful!
Our amazing youth runners learned all about proper running form and the cognitive triangle! We braved the heat and went for a short run to get our bodies moving. Way to go!!

Our Youth Services Manager, Alyssa, was awarded the Keene State College Alumni Inspiration Award this past weekend! This award is given to alumni who have demonstrated outstanding professional, personal, civic, or service contributions, including service to Keene State College. Thank you, KSC, for this award! Collaboration is what makes this job exciting and impactful.

While we didn't get many pictures of our own, KYS staff had a full day of connection, collaboration, and learning! Thank you to the New England Youth Diversion Summit staff and planning committee for putting together this insightful summit. It was great to learn alongside other amazing local and regional organizations!

Mental Health Runner Week 1 complete✅
Thursday was the start of the 10-week running club with Still I Run! We have 9 amazing youth who are pushing themselves to train for a 5K race this summer while learning about the impact of exercise on our mental health! Check out our cool team shirts!!
