Keene Lions Club Member Club of the community service organization, Lions International, serving Keene, NH. Many times they contact the Lions Club on their own behalf.

Chartered in 1937, the Keene Lions Club has been serving the needs of the less fortunate in the Monadnock Region for 65 years. The Keene Lions Club has adopted Eyesight preservation as the primary focus of our charitable giving. Although the club supports many charities and assists community organizations in many ways, Eyesight receives most of the club's effort and resources. Eyesight assistance

takes many forms from cataract surgery for the elderly to eyeglasses for youngsters whose families cannot afford the prescription glasses themselves. The club regularly purchases expensive reading aides that help people with limited vision continue to function and lead active, productive lives. The less privileged are referred to the club by social service organizations and physicians. Each request is carefully considered,and if approved, funds are quietly made available directly to the recipient's physician or health care organization. In addition to eyesight causes, the Keene Lions have been responsible for spearheading community projects. New lighting, for example, at Keene High School's Alumni Field, Ashuelot River Park and The Keene Skate Park came about through the Keene Lion's efforts. Playground equipment installed at Keene's Robin Hood Park, June 2001. Today the entire community benefits. Likewise, the club was responsible for the installation of swimming pools at both Robin Hood Park and Wheelock Park. And in 2001, $15,000 worth of playground equipment was donated for installation at Robin Hood Park. The club takes responsibility for a stretch of highway leading into the city, and schedules regular clean-up days. The Keene Lions Club also collects used eyeglasses and recycles them into service for the needy. Keene Lions have also helped to provide defribulators and defribulator training devices to area rescue units and the local chapter of the American Red Cross. Lion's funds also go to support underprivileged children through scholarships for area youth to attend summer camps.

The Keene Lions Foundation February Musical will hold auditions for the adult ensemble (17 and up) on September 18th from 6:00-9:00 and September 19th from 9:00-1:00.

Call backs will be September 19th from 2:00-6:00.

Please join us for a special evening on Saturday, September 12th from 5:30-8:00.

We will be meeting at Trinity Christian School, 100 Maple Avenue in Keene.

On the 12th, we will share the show's title with those present AND teach the audition music.

Licensing agreements restrict announcing the show title to audition attendees only. Due to these contractual obligations, we cannot publicly share the show title or post anything online until January. We really REALLY want to tell people, however, we are not allowed to share this information in any way other than at auditions. This is due to our contract. Thank you for understanding.

If you cannot attend on the 12th but would still like to audition, please complete THIS FORM and we will contact you after the 12th with the show details and audition materials.

Show Dates: February 12, 13, 14

Get ready for beautiful music, high-energy dance numbers, fun, and community- wrapped up in a story about love, friendship, family, and believing in yourself.

Youth and Teen Ensembles (ages 7 through 16) will audition in early January.

All auditionees aged 17 and older should plan to attend dance auditions from 9:00-9:45 on Saturday, September 19th. Please come a few minutes before dance auditions to be ready for 9:00.

We will be meeting at Monadnock Covenant Church, 91 Base Hill Road in Keene.

Audition materials will be shared on September 12th. If you are out of town and unable to attend in person on the 12th, 18th, or 19th to audition, please feel free to send a video of yourself singing the required song and performing the reading. You can email that to [email protected] by the end of the evening on September 18th.
