🎃👻 HAPPY HALLOWEEN FROM THE KEARNY PREVENTION COALITION! 🧡🖤

Whether you’re trick-or-treating, heading to a Halloween party, or enjoying the festivities, here are a few reminders to keep your Halloween safe and fun:

🚦 Look both ways! Always check for oncoming traffic, use crosswalks, and stay alert when crossing the street.

🍬 Check your candy! Inspect treats for damaged packaging, signs of tampering, or anything suspicious before digging in!

🔦 Be seen! Wear reflective accessories or carry a flashlight so drivers can spot you after dark.

👻 Stick together! Stay with friends or family, keep your phone charged, and always have a safe way home.

Most importantly, HAVE FUN! Make memories, enjoy the costumes, indulge in some candy, and celebrate responsibly! 🎃✨

Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, and we won’t get another Saturday Halloween until 2037! Make it count!

🎃👻 Halloween is all about sweet treats, spooky fun, and staying safe!

🍬 Before handing out candy, double-check that your treats don’t contain THC or other cannabis ingredients.

🍭 Parents and caregivers: Take a moment to check your child’s Halloween candy. THC edibles can look very similar to regular candy, gummies, and chocolates, making them easy to mistake for everyday treats.

🧡 Keep cannabis products securely stored and away from children, and help make Halloween a safe and happy experience for everyone!

Stay spooky, stay safe, and have a Happy Halloween! 🎃

This Halloween, remember that trick-or-treating looks different for everyone! From food allergies to sensory sensitivities, every child deserves to feel safe, welcomed, and included. ❤️

While colorful Halloween buckets can help spark conversations about awareness and inclusion, their meanings aren’t universal. The best thing we can do is lead with kindness, patience, and understanding.

💊 DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day!

Today, the Kearny Prevention Coalition was proud to support DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day alongside the Kearny Police Department!

Thank you to everyone who participated and took an important step toward keeping our homes, families, and community safe by properly disposing of unused, unwanted, or expired medications.

Together, we’re helping prevent prescription drug misuse and making Kearny a safer, healthier community! ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us last night at Lincoln Middle School for our Hidden in Plain Sight event!

We had a fantastic turnout and are so grateful for the community’s continued support of the Kearny Prevention Coalition and our substance use prevention efforts.

A special thank you to the DEA for leading such an informative and eye-opening presentation, helping parents and community members better recognize the warning signs of substance use.

Together, we’re building a safer, healthier, and drug-free community! ❤️

Would you recognize the warning signs of substance use in a teenager’s bedroom? Sometimes, everyday items aren’t always what they seem.

Join the Kearny Prevention Coalition and the DEA TONIGHT for an interactive educational experience designed to help parents and community members identify potential warning signs, understand emerging substance use trends, and learn about available prevention resources.
