Meet Waverly! Our very own little mystery girl! Waverly came into KAAS as a stray, and while working her up to get her ready for adoption, we noticed something a little… unusual. When it came time to get her spayed, our veterinary staff discovered that Waverly doesn’t have any reproductive organs! Of course, we wanted to be absolutely certain, so we sent off a blood panel to confirm our findings, and sure enough, the results backed it up! We guess you could say Waverly is truly one of a kind! 😉 If you’re interested in this cutie patootie, stop into KAAS to meet her!

WE’RE LOOKING FOR A FOSPICE HOME FOR BIRDIE! Sweet Birdie is an older girl who deserves to spend her remaining time knowing what it feels like to be loved, comfortable, and home. Birdie spent some time running loose out in the country before finding her way to us. She loves being outdoors, having room to roam, and simply enjoying the little things. Unfortunately, shelter life has been really hard on her. She isn’t thriving in a kennel, and we can tell she’s unhappy here. We’ve been working hard to help Birdie put on some much needed weight, but getting her to eat has been a struggle. We can’t help but wonder how much of that is because she’s just not happy living in a shelter environment.

We want her last few months to be filled with sunshine, soft places to nap, a yard to sunbathe in, and all the little comforts every senior girl deserves. We don’t want her spending her remaining time behind a kennel door. Birdie may not have forever ahead of her, but she deserves to make the most of whatever time she has left. “Listen, folks, I don’t know who needs to hear this, but CATS ARE THE BEST. That’s just a fact. No debate necessary. They’re cute, they’re fluffy, they mind their own business (mostly), and they let you live in THEIR house in exchange for food. What’s not to love?!😹 So, in honor of National Cat Day, I think you should do yourself a favor and come adopt a cat!
