Good afternoon folks! Our department has been putting on the local downtown spook house for many, many years. Every year our members give up time with their wives and kids to put this on. These guys give up time with their families to practice every Monday, time with their familes to block streets for parades, time with their families to fight fires. This year most of our guys have little ones who will be playing football with the South Texas Roughnecks and will not be able to help this year. So...

We are looking for individuals who have scary costumes and would like to jump in and scare people in our spook house this year! Please contact Monica Quintanilla for more details on how YOU can help our department make this year's spook house a great one! Call or text 830-534-4298 or drop by Napa Parts & Supply!

We thank you for helping us make this year great! Please share to your pages!! ❤️

Folks let's ⚡️ CHARGE ⚡️into Fire Safety this week! This year's Fire Prevention theme is "Charge into Fire Safety: Safety Charging Is a Superpower". This year we focus on reducing lithium-ion battery fires.

• By charging devices with the cords they come with.
• By unplugging devices once they are fully charged.
• By charging batteries on flat surfaces or a breathable surface rather than a bed or a sofa.
• By charging ebikes and scooters outside when possible.
• By inspecting batteries properly, watching for any signs of damage like swelling, leaking or foul smelling batteries.

Thank You City of Karnes City and all those who support us through Fire Prevention week!

📣📣 ATTENTION 9/11 181 WALK 📣📣

PLEASE DO NOT BE ALARMED...we have a few firefighters performing our annual 9/11 walk from our station to Kenedy in honor of the courageous 343 men and women who lost their lives, and the countless others who suffered from their deaths. This is something our department does to honor these selfless and brave souls. No comparison to what these brave people did that day. Every year we see a new story and our hearts break all over again! Prayers to the families and friend who lost so much on 9/11/2001. Chris, Roman, Rolando, and Jaron....we thank you for participating this year and representing City of Karnes City's Fire Department this year.

📣📣📣📣 ATTENTION 📣📣📣📣

As of today there will be a BURN BAN IN EFFECT until further notice. Please see Judge Wade Hedtke or Emergency management coordinator, Justin M Garcia, both at the County Courthouse, for a burn permit if needed. Same guidelines apply with or without a burn permit...always call within 30 minutes of lighting the fire and call again when you are done. This is for your safety. Thank you everyone!! And as always, BE SAFE!! 🚫🔥
