In 2020, Vipassana Hawaii coordinated the translation and voicing of the Buddha's Discourse on Loving-Kindness - the Karaniya Metta Sutta - into the Hawaiian language.

We are excited to now offer an in-depth training for the chant for all those who wish to learn it- in collaboration with our friends at Halau Ohia. We are moved by the vision that all Buddhists in Hawaii who are inspired have the tools and training to be able to recite the oli with clarity, respect, and confidence that honors our Dharma lineages as well as the Hawaiian cultural form we are embracing.
