🦄 How Equine Therapy is helping people heal:

Research is increasingly finding promising mental health benefits - from equine assisted services including reductions in symptoms of PTSD, anxiety and mood disorders and improvements in quality of life.

Horses can help us be present.

Horses live in the moment.
Working with a horse asks us to pay attention to body language, surroundings, and our own responses
encouraging us to slow down, be present and become more aware of how we’re communicating.

Horses can help us build confidence.

Grooming, leading, or caring for a horse can give people opportunities to set goals,
solve problems, and
experience accomplishments.
Horses also offer the opportunity to build trust.

Horses can help us with regulation.

Time with horses can offer a space to pause, focus, and practice skills that support emotional regulation.
Horses are highly sensitive to human body language and behavior, which can help develop emotional
awareness and the ability to regulate responses.

When you were on Kauai: book a lesson with us or come volunteer to feel the healing power of being with horses.
