From prepping the space to watching everyone lean in, laugh, and open up — hosting Death Tacos & Margaritas reminded me exactly why I started .
The feedback said it all: you want more. And honestly? I do to!
There’s something quietly beautiful about gathering around food and drink to talk about the thing we so rarely say out loud. Thank you to everyone who showed up and made it what it was. 💀🖤

Today we said goodbye to our little fish 🐟

Not in a rushed or hidden way… but with presence, love, and ritual.

We buried him in the yard, with our hands in the earth, taking a moment to honor his life — however small it may seem to some, it was meaningful to us.

With the little one, we spoke about gratitude…
for the joy he brought,
for the care we learned,
for the responsibility we held.

And also about grief — how it’s okay to feel, to pause, to remember.

These are the moments that matter.
Teaching them that life is sacred,
that endings are part of the circle,
and that even the smallest beings deserve to be honored.

Ritual is how we remember.
Ritual is how we love. 🤍

Death doesn’t have to be something we hide from nature.
For me, it’s a conscious choice: to be buried in a way that supports life even after mine has ended. A green burial. Mushrooms assisting in the decomposition of my body, turning what I was into nourishment for what will be.
There is something deeply comforting in knowing that my last act will be one of giving back.

Talking about death doesn’t make it happen.
It makes us ready. It makes us honest. It makes us free.

I’m passionate about educating and empowering people around end-of-life choices: from advance care directives to the atmosphere you want around you and the way you wish to be remembered.

But this isn’t a lecture.
It’s a game night.

We’ll be playing The Death Deck a beautifully designed conversation game created by Lisa Pahl to help us explore the one thing we all share: mortality.

Come curious. Come open. Come as you are.
No experience needed, just a willingness to have real conversations. (And eat really good snacks!)
