🌅 Sunrise after Hurricane Lowell reveals a hint of what happened overnight. 🙏🏽 Most homes were intact around the Eastside with minor damage around the neighborhoods compared to other parts of Kaua’i. No power with utility poles down across Kealia Beach.

🌀Last Daylight before Hurricane Lowell. Winds gusting but Flooding much lower than this morning. Lots of leaves and small branches on the road but no major damage observed in the Kapaa to Kawaihau area. Conditions are as good as possible on the Eastside before dark.

Rain slowed 🌀Wind and Surf 🌊picking up. Kealia River mouth ocean surge vs River outflow will affect Keapana area. Anahola Bay dirty but guys surfing. Anahola River level dropping enough for the ducklings and Nene to play…for NOW. Calm before the storm.

☀️Doing what we can 🚜 for Kaua’i Dirt Day. 🌊This dual purpose FREE Community event will create a 10-20 acre EVACUATION ZONE from Floods and Tsunamis. 🙋🏽‍♀️While kids enjoy the activities operating heavy machinery. DM me if you can help with site prep.
