I’ve had A LOT of questions coming my way lately about The Ride, and honestly, the best part about this year is that I don’t always have the answers anymore. 😂
If you know me, you know how big of a deal that is. Me? Giving up control? Trusting someone else to handle something without checking on it 47 times? Growth, people. GROWTH.
But in all seriousness, The Ride has a TEAM this year, and I don’t think I can put into words how much that means to me.
The last four years have been some of the most rewarding, but also some of the most exhausting. Not because I ever wanted to do it all myself, but because finding people who have the time, dedication, and passion to pour into something you care so deeply about isn’t always easy.
And this year, I’ve found those people.
I’ve had to learn to step back, let others lead, and realize that just because someone takes a different approach than I would doesn’t mean it’s the wrong one. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how we get there, as long as we never lose sight of why we started.
And the WHY has always been bigger than any of us.
In just TWO WEEKS, registration for our 5th Annual The Ride goes LIVE! That sentence alone makes me want to throw up and jump for joy simultaneously. 😂
Between teaching, working, planning a wedding, and everything else life throws our way, I am beyond grateful for the people who have stepped up to help carry this mission forward, and for every single person who continues to support it.
Five years ago, I had a vision and a whole lot of hope. Today, I get to watch other people pour their hearts into that same vision.
And maybe that’s the most beautiful part of all of this. Watching something you started become something so much bigger than yourself.
Because this has never been about who gets the credit. It’s about making sure those who have given so much for us know they haven’t been forgotten.
Here’s to year FIVE, a team I’m incredibly proud of, and a community that continues to prove what’s possible when people come together.
We ride for those who can’t. And we’re always better when we come together. ❤️
