Meet Tony! Tony is a beautiful almost-four-year-old male looking for his family. Tony is both sweet and spicy. The sweet: he melts when you pet him and loves getting affection from the people he knows. He tears around the house, binkying and zooming, almost every morning, so happy to be alive. He is very tidy with his hay and completely litter trained. Not one accident since he moved in with his foster family. He’ll oh-so-gently take treats from your hand when you offer them to him. He’ll nose his head under your hand or lean on your leg when he wants attention, and every once in a while, he’ll lick your hand while you pet him.
The spicy: he is king of the house, so if you do make him do something he doesn’t want to do, like trim his nails, he’ll repeatedly stomp his foot so you know how unhappy you’ve made him. He’ll wake you up by sitting on your chest or digging through the blankets you’re sleeping under if he thinks you’re neglecting his breakfast. He’ll chew your baseboards, shoes, and charging cables if you give him the chance, and if you don’t have blankets set aside for him to dig through and chew, he’ll find his own, maybe your comforter.
Tony had a few rough transitions in his life and had to learn to trust people again. He had a tendency to nip and lunge at volunteers when he first came to the rescue late last year. He’s come a long way since he’s been with a foster family, but because of his history, he’s not well suited to a first-time bunny owner or to a family with young children. But don’t let that scare you away from Tony! His previous aggression was fear-based, and now that he feels settled and safe, his foster family gets to see his sweet, curious, confident personality.
