Shine Bright Like Bella’s Mission is to provide a combined Hope and Will to Live by offering financial assistance to students and families, raise awareness and increase education to prevent dating / domestic abuse. In addition, we want to emphasize the importance of recognizing and seeki

ng help to minimize mental health issues and su***de risks specifically associated with this type of abuse. The devastating truth is that an alarming 33%-40% of women will experience a form of dating or domestic violence during their lifetime. Dating and domestic abuse comes in many forms: physical, sexual, mental, psychological, verbal, and financial. Research indicates that victims of abuse can experience long-term physical and mental health issues. Victims are also seven times more likely to experience suicidal thoughts. Recognizing that advocacy must begin at the grassroots level of our local communities, Shine Bright Like Bella Inc. is committed to providing resources, awareness, and education. Everyone has an inherent right to live in a safe community and environment filled with hope, freedom, and justice. Our Vision is to prevent dating and domestic violence, encourage victims to pursue assistance, and eliminate su***de as the final solution/option. We aim to promote respectful and healthy relationships through positive affirmations and fellowships that build resilience, confidence, and self-worth.

Bella’s Law is more than legislation — it’s a demand for truth.

A demand that deaths connected to Intimate Partner Violence are no longer rushed, ignored, or dismissed as “su***de” or “accident” without real investigation. A demand that families are never left alone to fight for answers. A demand that justice matters more than convenience, silence, or assumption.

When you sign this petition, you are standing for:
🤍 Families who deserve the truth
⚖️ Accountability and transparency
🛑 Real change that could save lives and protect future victims

Bella’s Law will require:
• Thorough investigations in IPV-related deaths
• Independent case reviews
• Specialized IPV death investigation training
• Guaranteed family access to records when abuse may have been a factor

Because when there is a history of violence, there must be a history of accountability.

Bella deserved more than unanswered questions. So do the countless others whose stories were minimized, overlooked, or never fully investigated.

This is about truth.
This is about justice.
This is about making sure Bella’s voice changes the future.

Forever missing you, forever carrying you with us. 💚✨

Today we honor Bella — her light, her strength, her laughter, and the legacy she continues to leave behind in every life she touches. What began as love for one incredible girl has grown into a movement of kindness, awareness, community, and hope through Shine Bright Like Bella.

Bella’s spirit still shows up in the cheer bows, the acts of compassion, the families supported, the stories shared, and the people who choose to keep shining even in the darkest moments. Her life mattered deeply, and her impact continues far beyond the years we were given with her.

An angel-versary is a reminder that grief and love exist together. We miss her endlessly, but we are so grateful for the legacy she left behind and the way she continues to inspire us to live louder, love harder, and shine brighter.

A Letter to My P***y

1461 days since we had our last dinner together for your 24th birthday.
1461 days since I held your hand, told you in person that I loved you, and asked you about the bruise on your leg.
Although the bruise seemed small and insignificant — and you gave a pretty compelling reason behind it — how could I have known that bruise was the tiny scab of something so much bigger you were trying to hide? Just five days later, we received the life-changing phone call that you were no longer in your earthly form. That tiny bruise became the kindling that would reveal my life’s purpose.
I can’t help but wonder where you would be and what you would be doing today on your 28th birthday. Watching your friends get engaged, married, buy houses, have babies, and move forward with their adult lives is a double-edged sword. I love seeing their joy and success, but I can’t help grieving all the things we will never experience with you. Jealousy is a monster that is almost impossible to hold at bay.
Daddy and I are living our lives the best we know how, but it is still difficult to find joy when it is so easy to succumb to the grief of you not being here. We do have joy, but it is always laced with the sadness that comes from the reality that you are not here to experience our family’s milestones with us. Living with your heart in two separate realms is difficult and exhausting. I miss our ignorant bliss, and my heart aches for anyone who has experienced a loss this devastating.
I know you are in heaven cheering on every new soul that crosses through those pearly gates, but it still hurts beyond words that you are not here with us. Not an hour, not a minute, not a second goes by that you are not in my thoughts. Every fiber of my heart and soul longs for you.
Happy Heavenly 28th Birthday, my precious girl! What I wouldn’t give to hear your voice, laugh, sass, and to hug you even just one more time!
