Unsure about the s*x of the kittens you are taking care of? Perhaps this will help.
Female Kittens
• Shape: The ge***al opening looks like a vertical slit, a line, or a teardrop shape.
• Distance: The a**s and the vaginal opening are very close together (about 1/4 to 1/2 inch apart).
• Fur: There is very little fur or space between the a**s and the opening.
• Color Clue: If the kitten is tricolor, calico, or tortoiseshell, it is almost always female.
Male Kittens
• Shape: The pe**le opening or prepuce looks like a small circle or a round dot, often with a mound of fur and a slightly darker center.
• Distance: The space between the a**s and the p***s is much wider (about 1/2 inch to nearly an inch apart).
• Fur: There is a noticeable patch of extra fur and tissue in the middle where the testicles will eventually form.
• Testicles: Testicles are tiny and usually not plainly visible or easily felt until the kitten is around 6 to 10 weeks of age (or older).
