Do you have space for a gentle soul that will be your buddy and guard dog rolled into one? Apollo needs a home to call his own. This Saturday, May 30th one half of his adoption fee is sponsored. His adoption fee will be $137.50 for the best qualified home.

Apollo is such a good boy. He likes to be with his person and is mostly quiet. He loves walks in the yard and appears to be house trained. He kennels, but does complain a bit, then settles down to sleep. His kennel is clean in the morning and he is ready to go outside. He prefers being in the house and plays gently with the small dogs. He does not excite easily. He is not happy with new people coming into the house and I advise a restraint on him until he knows that the person is approved. He is still puppy enough that he thinks it is OK to gently put his paws on your shoulder. He needs a bit more work to discourage this behavior. He moves well when he is in a person's path way, so he should not be a trip hazard. He is learning not to bark at other dogs and loves being pet and gives kisses. He shows no desire to get onto furniture, preferring to lay at his person's feet. Adopt Apollo at our adoption event this Saturday at Jake's Feed in Longview at 10am until 2pm.

She has been with us a month and really wants a home of her own. So, this Saturday, May 30th we are offering her for adoption with $100 of her fee sponsored. This is Ranger. He is a 3 month old Blue Merle Australian Shepherd puppy. Is he full blood? We don't know, but he looks like the pictures on Google! He has gorgeous blue eyes. Is he mini or standard? Looking at his feet and the rate he is growing, we think he is a standard. Is his tail docked? No it isn't.

Five days after he came into rescue he broke with parvo. Luckily he was in new puppy quarantine in his foster home and it was caught quickly. He was taken to Spencer's Veterinary Service for treatment. He made a rapid and full recovery! He has completed his 14 days of quarantine required after treatment and is ready for adoption. Ranger is a happy active boy. He is so excited to be able to run and play. He loves toys, especially if they make noise. He needs a fenced yard and a lot of exercise. Meet Ben and Jerry. They are male Chihuahuas that we rescued from a hoarding situation several weeks ago. They have been neutered and had their rabies vaccination. Their foster mom has been working on socialization. As part of the socialization process, she will be bringing them to our adoption events on Saturdays. They have been fear bitters in the past and we want be very careful to prevent that from happening. We believe they have the potential to be really good companions to the person they bond with. Meet them at our adoption event this Saturday at Jake's Feed in Longview from 10am to 2pm.

Meet Mr Snickers, Peggy Sue and Mr. Bing. These little guys are part of a group of 8 dogs that were dumped in the woods in Lamar County. They are sweet dogs and are estimated to be about 8 years old. They do well with other dogs. Meet them at our adoption event this Saturday at Jake's Feed in Longview from 10am to 2pm.

Meet Bubbles. She was released to rescue from a breeder when their owner's health failed. She is a rowdy and playful girl. Bubbles is a 6-7 month old puppy. She loves to run and play outside and had a doggie door in her kennel where she could go out at will. Because she is extremely active, she can not go to a home with young children or anyone with mobility issues as she poses a trip hazard. She must have a fenced yard.
