Meet Annie. She is approximately 2 years old, mixed breed. She weighs approximately 25 lbs. Annie is unique. She has one blue eye and the other eye has a portion of blue and the remainder is brown. This is called sectoral heterochromia. In Annie's case it appears genetic and does not impair her eyesight. She also has very unique front paws which we also believe is genetic. These differences just make her more beautiful! Annie was adopted and returned one by an older couple because she was too energetic for them. Then she was adopted again and those adopters gave her away. That person took her to the Longview Animal Care Center. They notified us and we retrieved her. She has had a rough time finding her forever family. She needs a younger family and an active playmate, either canine or human, to help her expend energy. She also needs a fenced in yard. Meet Doby. Doby is a fun-loving, active 1–2-year-old Chihuahua mix who is ready to discover just how wonderful life in a loving home can be! Doby is a playful little guy who loves getting outside for playtime and potty breaks. He is also doing well with using a potty pad when he needs to go while inside. He kennels very well for car rides and settles nicely in his kennel at night for bedtime. Since Doby is still learning what it means to be a house dog, he is working on his manners inside the home. His future family will need to be patient, consistent, and willing to continue helping him learn. A loving hand and plenty of positive reinforcement will go a long way with this sweet boy. Doby gets along okay with the other dogs in his foster home and is continuing to learn how to navigate life with his foster siblings. He is working on his leash walking. Unfortunately his previous owner did not have him on prevention and he is heartworm positive. We have started him on the slow kill method of treatment. Despite everything he has been through, he is adjusting to home life and showing just how much potential he has. His foster mom describes him as a very fun-loving guy who is doing so well. With the right family willing to give him patience, guidance, love, and time, Doby is sure to continue blossoming into an amazing companion. Meet Cindy Lou. She is a Chihuahua and 3 yrs old. Cindy Lou is a very sweet and loving lap dog. She wants to be with her person and receive your attention. She gives sweet kisses and loves a belly rub. She is kennel trained. She gets along well with other dogs, but can be a bit intimidated by a strong alpha dog personality. Unfortunately, Cindy Lou tested positive for heartworms. We have started her on the slow kill method of treatment. Meet Dandy. He is 5years and is believed to be a Yorkie/Dachshund mix. He is a very sweet and loving baby. He is kennel trained. Dandy is a super friendly tiny boy. We are working on finding and using the doggie door, but if you take him outside he will potty outside. If you want kisses and a lap dog this is your guy! Meet Katie. She is approximately 6 years old. She is a little shy and is adjusting to her new surroundings. She is reluctant to leave her kennel in the morning and needs some encouragement. Her kennel is her safe space and she likes to lay in it. She is a very sweet and gentle girl. Meet her at our adoption event this Saturday at Jake's Feed in Longview from 10am to 2pm.

Meet Jill. She is approximately 6 years old. She is a very sweet dog. She is crate trained. She love's attention. She is not destructive. She goes to the door to go potty when you tell her to. She comes back inside when you tell her to. She loves to be with people and seeks attention from her person. She is a very gentle dog and will make a great companion. Rescue did a thing yesterday. We have taken in a sweet girl, Havanese dog with medical issues. She will see our vet today for evaluation. She was taken to a vet in Tyler who said that there is a heart condition, beats slow. It was advised that she stay inside, under AC. Pray for this girl, that there is a method of treatment to help her live. We will continue updates. Donations for her medical treatment are appreciated.

Meet Saber. She is 8 years old. She’s a lover!! She loves belly rubs, she loves going outside, and she loves to eat. This girl eats anything. She is great with cats and other dogs. She is kenneled trained and has had no accidents in her kennel. She loves sleeping on the couch on her back so she is ready for a belly rub. Meet June Bug. She is an 11 year old sweet girl! She is very calm and likes to sit on a blanket or dog bed. She would be a great dog for a person wanting a less active companion. She somewhat afraid of her new life in foster care. Right now she does not go far from her blanket. She crates well. She is not a fan of a doggy door or stairs.
