I know this is a late post, but if anyone has some free time this afternoon or evening, we could really use your help getting the Dairy Bar ready for the Picker's Food Stand!

With rain in the forecast for Friday, we're hoping to get as much done as possible today. After being closed for six months, the Dairy Bar needs a good cleaning, the trailer needs to be unloaded, and supplies need to be organized and put away. It's a big job, and many hands make light work!

Whether you can spare 30 minutes or a couple of hours, we would truly appreciate any help you can give. The building will be open starting at noon today, and for those working through supper time, we'll plan to order in a meal around 5:00 p.m.

These fundraisers are what help keep our club programs affordable and accessible for everyone, and they wouldn't be possible without the support of our volunteers.

If you have any time to spare this afternoon or early evening, please stop out at the fairgrounds and lend a hand. Thank you for supporting our club—we couldn't do it without you! ❤️

Here you all go, I hope this helps to all members needing to get ready for auction day at the fair. Guidelines for auction posters:
Keep it simple! All you need is a basic poster board (2' x 3') and a magic marker. Include the exhibitor's name, club/organization, what's being sold, and any decorations or additional information about the animal you'd like. Including a picture of the animal is completely optional - not required!
The Extension Green County office has green poster board available for free! Stop by to pick some up if you'd like to use it for your poster.
If you have questions, please give us a call at 608-328-9440. See less

I found this on the website regarding photos so please watch your emails about the photos. When I know more I will send out a posting on it. But this is all I know at the moment.

TBD — Auction photos deadline— An email will be sent out with more information to all exhibitors that turn in an auction entry form, pick up entry tags, or attend the beef weigh in.

We are just coming off a holiday weekend that honored the veterans who served our country and helped keep us safe. But honoring the men and women who served should not end just because the holiday weekend is over.

The American Legion is serving breakfast on Sunday, June 14th from 8:00–11:30 a.m. and is looking for volunteer help. They have asked if our club could provide 6–8 volunteers to help with serving on the buffet line, picking up dishes, serving coffee, and resetting tables. Nothing too labor intensive, but a very rewarding way to give back, especially since all proceeds go toward scholarships for military children upon graduation.

If you are able to help, please comment below. Volunteers should arrive between 7:30–7:45 a.m. at the American Legion where we hold our meetings.

If you have long hair, please make sure it is pulled back and there is no restriction to age as long as you can complete the tasks list above.

Thank you for considering helping with such a meaningful event!

Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. Thank you! NOTE: On Sunday, the food stand will close at 3p, so the 12p-4p shift will include clean up from 3p-4p. Please come in the west vendor gate behind the exhibition hall. Parking is available close to the building.

Just a reminder to everyone that without our community service projects and fundraiser events, many of the things we enjoy as a club would not be possible, including fair fees, enrollment fees, shirts, scholarships, the pool party, the Christmas party, picnics, meals, and more. These events are what keep our club going strong financially.

Our next fundraiser is the Pickers Food Stand, and I just checked the signup list — right now, no one has signed up yet. We really need participation to make this event successful and to be able to deposit funds back into the club account.

If you can work a full shift, that would be wonderful. If not, even a half shift would help tremendously. Right now, we simply need bodies to help make this happen.

We always come together when needed, and I know this group can step up again. Thank you all for helping support the club and everything it provides for our members!
