Please, join us on Thursday, June 11th for our last General Membership meeting for this school year! The meeting will begin at 6pm and be on Zoom only. Use this link to register: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/D7D4BLJPRjG8L6mZIQDqCQ

We will be holding elections for all positions. The required positions are: President, Secretary and Treasurer. Vice President will also be part of the elections.

We do have some candidates but if you are interested in being a candidate for one of the Executive Officer positions you must be a current PTSA member. If interested, please, submit a letter of interest to share with the Nominating Committee which position you are interested, what qualifications you have and if you have any prior PTA experience. Please, submit your letter to the Nominating Committee chairperson, Lora Pangratz at [email protected].

As we head into the final stretch of the 2025-2026 school year, here are a few important dates to keep in mind:

May 22, 2026: Full day of school for students and staff (the early dismissal was cancelled as part of a waiver approved by the Maryland State Department of Education)

June 12, 2026: Full day of school for students and staff (June 12 is no longer the last day of school)

June 16, 2026: Last day for Prekindergarten students

June 18, 2026: Last day for students in kindergarten through grade 11, with a 3-hour early dismissal

Great things happen when we work together- join us in shaping the next chapter of Joppatowne High School!

This Spring we are launching the Family and Community Advisory Council! Family members of Joppatowne students and members of the Joppatowne community are invited to meet virtually to share ideas, voice concerns, and offer feedback to school leadership to help shape our school’s future.

Council meetings will be held virtually on April 13 and April 27 from 6 to 7pm. Attendance at both meetings is not required!

Due to the forecasted weather, Harford County Public Schools, schools and offices, will close 3 hours early Monday, March 16, 2026.

AM Early Learners or Learning Together students will go home on the bus they rode to school. There will be no PM Early Learners or Learning Together, no afterschool activities, and afterschool daycare will have one hour for pickup.

Second shift custodians and essential personnel should await further instruction.

The timing of this forecast would have an impact on the dismissal process and consequent bus routes and activities. We will re-evaluate in the morning and will update if any additional changes to the schedule are necessary.
