Planning for life after high school starts now.

Joppatowne High School juniors, seniors, and families are invited to attend our College and Career Night on Thursday, September 24. The evening will begin with a Senior Parent Meeting from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in the auditorium, followed by our College and Career Fair from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the gym.

Meet with representatives from colleges, universities, businesses, apprenticeship programs, and local organizations to learn about the many pathways available after graduation.

We look forward to helping our students explore their futures and make connections that can support their next steps.

As another school year comes to a close, we want to recognize three individuals who have made a lasting impact on the Joppatowne High School community.

Thank you to Melissa Williams for her leadership, dedication, and for always making our school a place where the community felt welcome and valued. Your commitment to students, staff, and families has made a difference that will be felt for years to come.

Congratulations to DJ Hanzelik on your retirement. For many years, you have guided and supported countless seniors as they navigated some of the most important moments of their high school journey. Your influence extends far beyond the classroom walls.

And best wishes to Jason King, who after many years of service to JHS is moving on in his role as Assistant Principal. Thank you for the leadership, support, and care you have shown our students and staff throughout your time here.

Three different paths, one common legacy—service, dedication, and a commitment to the students of Joppatowne High School.

We wish all three of you happiness, success, and new adventures in the chapters ahead. Once a Mariner, always a Mariner. 💜⚓️💜

This summer, Harford County Public Schools is again working with local partners to provide free summer meals for children 18 and under.

Meals must be eaten on site, and are available beginning the week of June 22. For a list of locations and times, please visit schoolmeals.hcpsschools.org/summermeals!

Additionally, this summer SUN Meals To-Go will return to Dublin Elementary. Each Wednesday, between July 1, 2026, and August 19, 2026, registered families can stop by to collect meal kits that include seven days of breakfast and lunch foods. Reminder- please, join us for the last General Membership meeting for JHS PTSA for this school year! The meeting will begin at 6pm (note earlier start time) via Zoom. Elections will be held for all 4 positions. The Nominating Committee has released below a slate of recommended candidates. Current members may run from the floor.
