The Blanco County Fair & Rodeo Association is a 501(c) non-profit organization created in 1930 whose purpose is to promote the education of our residents, particularly our youth, preserve and celebrate our rich western and agriculture heritage for both current and future generations, and maintain our facilities for other youth related entities. eo! Books open at 3:30pm & Rodeo starts at 5pm. County Roping books open at 7:30pm, Roping to begin immediately following the Youth Rodeo. Excitement continues on Friday with a Jr. Goat Show at 5:00 PM. The Blanco County Queens contest at 7:00 PM. Afterwards, enjoy an event filled rodeo followed by a Dance. Enjoy fair and rodeo activities all day Saturday starting with a large colorful street parade in downtown historic Johnson City at 10:00 AM. Come on down to the fair grounds and try your talents in the goat roping, washer pitching & domino tournaments. Then get ready for the evenings activities. Saturday night tops the weekend starting with the Queenโs Coronation at 7:00 PM and another event filled Rodeo at 8:00 PM. Dance Saturday night away under the stars. The Blanco County Fair and Rodeo...at the Blanco County Fairgrounds in Johnson City, just south of the Pedernales River Bridge on State Highway 281 North.
