On September 5, 2026 at 16:37, Station 45 was requested as automatic mutual aid to Crawford Township, Clinton County (Lycoming County Station 6's response area) for a barn fire. Engine 445 responded with a crew of 5 and was the first arriving engine to a large to***co barn with heavy fire showing. Engine 445 crew deployed two 2" handlines and had the bulk of the fire knocked down within approximately 10 minutes. Engine 445 was supplied by Engine 6 and a slew of tankers from both Lycoming and Clinton county. Chief 1-6 had the command.

This evening, we conducted a joint training with Nippenose Valley Volunteer Fire Company. The topic was drafting operations, giving our operators the chance to run through drafting evolutions and try to max out our pump capacity. We were able to flow an estimated 1600 gpm from Engine 445 using a single intake. Joint training are key to ensuring standard operations on the fireground, and we invite and encourage all of our mutual aid department to join us moving forward. Reach out to one of our officers if you're interested.

In the early morning hours of July 29, 2026, Station 45 and mutual aid units were dispatched to a barn fire on River Road in Porter Township. This video shows arrival condition met by Engine 445. Engine 445, Chief 45, Chief 1-45, and the paid MICU crew operated severely short handed for nearly 15 minutes, successfully stopping the fire from spreading to an attached exposure, prior to the arrival of mutual aid.
