: John 11:4
We’ve all heard the old belief that if you're sick, you must be cursed by God. But in John 11:4, and in many other places in the Bible, we see that this isn’t always the case. Sometimes, God allows sickness or suffering to reveal His glory just like in this verse, where Jesus used Lazarus’ illness and even his death to show who He truly is.
You might be facing challenges in your life that feel like setbacks - I know I do! But as Christians, let’s remember that nothing happens outside of God’s sovereign will. Every trial, pain, suffering, and yes, even our sickness, when seen from God’s perspective, has the potential to turn our world upside down in beautifully blessed ways.
What may seem like a setback now could be God setting you up for His purpose, His plan, and His glory. Trust Him!
