Now it's time for an unexpected holiday: Youth Confidence Day!

The research varies depending on the study or field, but some scientists have estimated that a third or as much as HALF of youngsters today have self-confidence issues. What a painful and heartbreaking problem!

If you've taken a Good Dads workshop before, you'll know that giving children chores is one of the most surprising confidence building tools that parents have in the toolkits.

Why do chores help build confidence? Because it gives children a chance to struggle, be accountable to something, and even face consequences in a safe and low-risk environment.

But be sure to praise chore achievements! For example: "When I noticed you made your bed this morning, I was so proud. Your bedroom looks great. I can tell you took your time to do a good job."
