Members of Jefferson City Evening Rotary spent the day serving our community. It was a gorgeous day. Some of the members spent the morning with Serve Jeff City working with different organizations on tasks they needed help with. Other members spent the day at Wonderland Camp, a camp for those with special needs for ages 6-86. Those members stained picnic tables, picked up limbs from last night storm, and blew debris from their sidewalks. This was not only a day of service but also a time for fun and fellowship. The Rotary way!

Jefferson City Evening Rotary welcomed Dr Darius Watson, Assistant Provost for Academic Innovation, Outreach, and Research to their meeting recently. Dr Watson gave the members an update on the newest addition to the Lincoln University campus. The Health & Security Sciences Institute will be a unique, three story facility that will house training for programs such as nursing, cybersecurity, and emergency responders. This building will also house a common area for first responders to gather and collaborate during an emergency. A fall 2026 completion date is expected.

One of our longest on-going projects....Birthday Boxes!

We are incredibly grateful to the Jefferson City Evening Rotary Club for preparing and donating birthday boxes for the children we serve! 🎉💛 Their thoughtfulness ensures that every child feels celebrated and remembered on their special day.

CASA Volunteers with children who have birthdays in the first quarter of 2026 can stop by our office to pick up a birthday box, complete with cake mix, icing, candles, and a card—everything needed to make their day extra special.

A heartfelt thank you to the Evening Rotary for making these quarterly gifts possible and for helping bring joy and celebration to every child in care! 🙌

Evening Rotary held their “white elephant” gift exchange last night.

Several members have an obsession with a certain holiday treat.

Some toasted the evening with little cakes….one member went home with a giant cake decoration!

Several members of JC Evening Rotary traveled to Rotary District 6080 District Conference.
We picked up some awards, completed some service projects and promoted some projects. And it was in Springfield so some of us stopped at Buccee’s on the way home.
