King Manor Museum is a historic house that was home to the antislavery King Family from 1805 until 1896, most notably, framer of the United States Constitution, Rufus King (1755-1827). We are a community-oriented space located inside Rufus King Park. Our mission is to interpret founding father Rufus King’s political legacy and antislavery history to teach critical thinking for a healthier democracy.

🎉 Meet Our newest 2026 Cocktails & Constitution Honorees!

We’re thrilled to welcome Deputy Speaker Dr. Nantasha Williams as one of this year’s honorees at King Manor Museum’s annual Cocktails & Constitution fundraiser! 🍸📜

Representing Council District 27, Dr. Williams has built her career around public service, civic participation, and expanding opportunity across Queens. As Chair of the City Council’s Committee on Civil and Human Rights, she has championed salary transparency and anti-racism legislation and served as prime sponsor of the Cultural Passport bill, encouraging New Yorkers to explore cultural, historic, and community sites across all five boroughs.

She’ll join our previously announced honorees Edjo Wheeler, Founder and Executive Director of Culture Lab LIC, and Jason D. Antos, Executive Director of the Queens Historical Society and Official Queens Borough Historian.

Three people doing incredible work for the cultural and civic life of Queens—and we can’t wait to celebrate them! 🥂
