Craft for a cause! 🎨✨

Join us at King Manor Museum for a free workshop to create a "Talisman for the Perfect Stranger"—a small handmade keepsake holding a wish of goodwill for someone in our community 🫂

Afterward, your creation will be displayed in a 2-week public exhibition and online silent auction! All proceeds will be donated to a local nonprofit supporting migrants, asylum seekers, and refugees in NYC 🗽❤️

‼️ UPDATE: Zine Launch with Melting Metropolis 🌳📖

Due to Saturday’s inclement weather, the zine launch at King Manor Museum is being postponed to Saturday, October 3rd, from 12pm–2pm.

We’re excited to gather with you then—and the new date also coincides with City of Forest Day, a city-wide celebration of urban tree cover!🌿 We will be partnering with the Big Reuse for a Street Tree Care event — separate registration for the Street Tree Care event is required. Head over to the link in our bio for more information!

♻️ Your previous RSVP for our Zine launch will automatically transfer to the new date, so you don't have to worry about re-registering!

Weaving with Sari Nordman ♻️

Join King Manor and artist Sari Nordman to make a wearable, woven piece of art out of recycled materials to highlight your cool NYC style 😎 She will teach a simple knotting technique suitable for anyone who can tie their own shoelaces!

All materials will be provided, but please feel free to bring clean recycled plastics such as shopping bags, bubble wrap, toilet paper and paper towel wrappers, newspaper sleeves and produce bags.
