Please note that all Jacksonville Parks & Recreation facilities will be closed on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.

💦 Splash Zone will remain OPEN both days from 12:00 PM–6:00 PM, so come cool off and celebrate with us!

NOTICE: We will close the basketball courts from 10:45am-12:45pm today, Thursday, June 11th, while we have our youth summer camp program. Our youth from the Martin Street Youth Center will be learning various volleyball skills that focus on ball control, passing, setting, serving, and movement through simple, progressive drills that build confidence and fundamental skills.🏐💪

UPDATE 9:25am 6/6/26: The power has been restored at the Center.

8:00am 6/6/26: The Community Center is currently experiencing a power outage. Utility crews have been notified and are working to resolve the issue. At this time, the building is temporarily closed for safety. We will provide an update as soon as power is restored. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

NOTICE: We want to inform you that the air conditioning in the gym and fitness mezzanine is currently out of order. A full replacement is already in progress, and we are working to complete it as quickly as possible.
Please use caution when exercising, as temperatures in the gym and fitness mezzanine will be significantly higher than usual.
Heat Safety Tips
• Stay hydrated — drink water before, during, and after your workout.
• Take frequent breaks and listen to your body.
• Consider lighter workouts or shorter sessions until temperatures improve.
• Avoid overexertion, especially if you feel dizzy, nauseous, or overheated.
• Wear light, breathable clothing.
• If you experience any symptoms of heat exhaustion, stop immediately and seek help.

🐰This Easter, our bunny is taking a little break! All park facilities, along with the Jacksonville Community Center, will be closed on Easter Sunday to give everyone a chance to celebrate the holiday. 🐥 We look forward to welcoming you back soon for more fun and outdoor exploration! 🌺🌞We'll reopen after the holiday at our normal business hours.
