A-PAL Humane Society Mission statement - to assure the humane treatment of animals in Amador County.

A-PAL Humane Society pulls animals from the Amador County Animal Shelter to provide foster, spay/neuter, vaccines, life saving surgeries and adoption of cats and dogs. We also provide these services for community cats and we support residents with spay/neuter cost reduction programs and reduced cost veterinarian services. Our goal is to provide services to save the lives of all adoptable pets in Amador County. By providing services to improve their health and temperament, we believe we can achieve that goal.
