A-PAL Humane Society Mission statement - to assure the humane treatment of animals in Amador County.

A-PAL Humane Society pulls animals from the Amador County Animal Shelter to provide foster, spay/neuter, vaccines, life saving surgeries and adoption of cats and dogs. We also provide these services for community cats and we support residents with spay/neuter cost reduction programs and reduced cost veterinarian services. Our goal is to provide services to save the lives of all adoptable pets in A

🚨🐾 Attention Amador County Residents!
If you or someone you know is feeding intact feral or community cats, please help us help them by trapping, fixing, and returning them. It takes a village, and the ferals of Amador County need all of us!

Important: Amador County residents need to make an appointment with either their local veterinarian or with A-PAL Humane Society before trapping.

A-PAL has humane traps available for the public to borrow to safely trap and transport feral cats. We will help coordinate FREE spay/neuter, and the community will need to return the cats safely to the exact location where they were trapped, the place they know as home.

On the very last day of our Black Cat Appreciation adoption special, Stormy found her happily ever after!

This beautiful family tells us that last year they adopted another black kitty from A-PAL named Salem and she is, in their words, the “best cat ever!” 🖤🐾

Now Stormy is headed home to join her new family and will have a new name to match her new life, Winnifred, aka Winnie!

We couldn’t be happier for this sweet girl. Thank you for opening your hearts and home to another A-PAL Humane Society kitty! 🏡🐈‍⬛
