Happy Labor Day!!!!!

We pray that you all enjoy today with friends and family as we take time off today to celebrate Labor Day.

The Word of God is specific as it instructs us to rest periodically, beginning with God’s example of resting on the seventh day after six days of creation (work). There are also times of rest and refreshing throughout the year that is needed for our bodies to rest as well.

The only time we are told to labor is with respect to entering into HIS rest. There is a difference between toiling and laboring versus fulfilling our calling in life. We work and are productive people, but the concept of labor (with the connotation of toiling) is to be laid aside. However, it is interesting that we ARE to labor only to enter into HIS rest.

This doesn’t mean that we strive to find God’s place of rest in our lives. It means that with the same intensity that we would place on the worldly mindset of “getting to the top”, we prioritize, set aside, and purposefully with great enthusiasm live a lifestyle of entering into HIS rest…every seventh day…periodic rest days and times…and ultimately a lifestyle of living in the faith-rest life…fully and completely trusting GOD, His Word, and His Love for us.

Enter into HIS rest this Labor Day!

When we find ourselves facing a difficult situation, we don't have to simply repeat what we see, what we hear, or what others are telling us. We can search the Scriptures, find what God has said, and bring our words into agreement with His Word.

The featured blog, Speak the Word Back to God, is an encouragement to become intentional about finding God's Word for our circumstances and speaking it back to Him. We aren't trying to convince God to agree with us. We are choosing to agree with God.

When the circumstances give you a report, find the Word.
When fear gives you a report, find the Word.
When the enemy gives you a report, find the Word.
Then speak it back to God:
"Father, You said..."

As we journey through Scripture together this month, may each passage strengthen your faith, renew your mind, and remind you of who God is and who you are in Him. Day by day, verse by verse, we are building a deeper foundation of faith through the truth of His Word.
Let's not simply read the Word — let's live it, believe it, and allow it to transform us from the inside out.

Speak to the mountain!!

Jesus said this about mountains that we would face:

“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea!’ and does not doubt in his heart [in God’s unlimited power], but believes that what he says is going to take place, it will be done for him [in accordance with God’s will].”
- Mark 11:23 AMP

A mountain here is not a physical mountain, but symbolically is a circumstance that presents itself so big that you cannot get around it, over it, or through it. We all have and will face mountains in our lives.

What is the mountain you are staring at right now? Is it a mountain of sickness, a mountain of insurmountable debt, a mountain of bills that income cannot seem to swallow, or a mountain of chaos that doesn’t want to settle down. Whatever the mountain is…it doesn’t matter.

Jesus’s direction for how to deal with ANY mountain is to SPEAK to it. Most of the time, people pray to God and tell God about the mountain and ask God to move the mountain. BUT, this is not what Jesus said to do. He said for YOU to SPEAK directly to the mountain and tell it to move. There is a big difference.

The reason so many people have mountains that don’t move is because they DON’T SPEAK to the mountain. So, the mountain stays where it is. It doesn’t have to move UNLESS YOU SPEAK to it.

The highest mountain has a place in the depths of the sea. There is a place for the mountain and it is not in front of you. So, don’t be discouraged. Read Mark 11:23 carefully and follow what Jesus said…SPEAK TO THE MOUNTAIN!!!

Have you seen the commercial for V8 juice where the person is walking off-balanced? The person isn't balanced and the solution to this problem (according to the commercial) is to have a V8 juice every day.

Do you feel off-balance or not quite right? This may be a result of any number of factors. James tells us to give ourselves completely to God. When we give ourselves to many things, the wrong things, or even good things that are not what we should be giving ourselves to, we open ourselves up to getting slanted in an off position.

I have heard people say that you can be so heavenly minded that you are no earthly good. However, this is not biblical. We are eternal beings living on earth, not earthly beings longing for heaven. We are spirit and we connect to God who is Spirit!

I have found that the only way I can stay "balanced" is to wholeheartedly and boldly give 110% of myself to Him, being so unbalanced according to conventional ways, yet so radically yielded to ONLY HIM!

If you will give yourself to GOD in such an unbalanced way, all or nothing, then you will find the balance you desperately miss and need in your life.
True Balance can only come from giving HIM ALL of yourself!

Every girl dreams about what it would be like to be Cinderella. This picture was taken at the castle entrance to visit Cinderella at The Magic Kingdom in Orlando, FL. Even though I’m not a little girl anymore, I just couldn’t stop looking at this glass slipper resting on a royal pillow on a throne-like pedestal.

This image is significant because not only is Cinderella to have a throne, a position of power and safety and strength, but her glass slipper is also treated with utmost reverence, honor, care, and position.

Cinderella and what was connected to her person was honored, even before she was officially a royal. During the search and chase for Cinderella is when elevation and position began to take place.

The same us true for us. Except the difference is that we have already been crowned and are seated next to Jesus in heavenly places. We already have position, honor, safety, and strength through Jesus.

When we sit enthroned under His shadow, we are hidden in the strength of The Most High.
Enthroned means to install (a monarch) on a throne, especially during a ceremony to mark the beginning of their rule.

So, when we sit and rest in the strength of our position, we are enthroned, surrounded by, and completely saturated in His presence - Shaddai, The Most High, God of the Mountain, God the Destroyer of Enemies, God the Self-Sufficient One, God the Nurturer of Babies, God the Almighty, the One my Heart Loves.

There are times in life when the battle seems to last longer than we expected. We pray. We seek God. We stand on His Word. Yet the breakthrough hasn't fully manifested.

As I was walking through a battle of my own, the Lord began reminding me of something powerful: don't stop praying—but don't stop at prayer. Praise Him in the middle of the battle.

Praise is an act of faith. It declares that God is still faithful before we see the answer. It lifts our eyes from the problem to the One who has never lost a battle. Sometimes our greatest victory begins when we choose to worship while we're still waiting.

In this month's Based On Faith blog, I share personally from my own journey, along with biblical encouragement from God's Word, about learning to praise in faith for victory—even before the manifestation comes.

If you're believing God for healing, restoration, provision, breakthrough, or an answer that seems delayed, I pray this message strengthens your faith and encourages your heart.
Your battle is real, but your God is greater.

The battle you're facing won't be won by fear, worry, or striving. While prayer invites God's presence into the situation, praise ushers you into victory. When you choose to worship in the middle of the storm, you're declaring that God is greater than your circumstances.

Just as Jehoshaphat sent the worshippers ahead of the army, let your praise go before you today. Don't wait until the battle is over to thank Him. Praise Him because He is faithful, because He is with you, and because the victory already belongs to the Lord.

Whatever you're walking through today, lift your voice. Praise is your weapon, and God is fighting for you.

"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever." — 2 Chronicles 20:21
