✨In celebration of Juneteenth and the 6th anniversary of the African American Alliance Fund, OCCF is announcing grants totaling $217,000 to 38 organizations, bringing the total granted since inception to $1.2 million in support of local nonprofit organizations!

Founded on June 19, 2020, by OCCF President Tammy Tumbling, the Fund is committed to empowering diverse communities in Orange County and beyond.

We were delighted to kick off Juneteenth with community and business partners at the OC Black Solidarity Network "Black Orange County Has a Story to Tell" Juneteenth Celebration on June 4. Together, we celebrated Black Excellence, unity, creativity, and resilience—and affirmed our shared commitment to advancing equity and opportunity across Orange County. At OCCF, we are honored to stand alongside partners who are lifting up Black voices and investing in long-term change.

Today was a great day to Celebrate Irvine with the Greater Irvine Chamber! Today’s event brought together leaders from government, business, philanthropy, and higher education to explore the opportunities and challenges shaping Irvine’s future. Our own Shelley Hoss, CEO of OCCF joined panelists Pete Carmichael, Scott Fox, and Dr. Ian O. Williamson in an insightful conversation led by moderator Dave Coffaro.

We enjoyed connecting with Mayor Larry Agran, Chief of Police Michael Kent, local council members and business leaders. Together, we explored how strategic philanthropy, innovation, and cross-sector collaboration can keep Irvine thriving for generations to come. At OCCF, we are committed to partnering with local leaders and donors to invest in solutions that strengthen opportunity, belonging, and long-term prosperity. We look forward to helping grow the good in Irvine and beyond!
