PLEASE STAND WITH US! During Prom Season alone over 5,500 students are involved in auto accidents yearly. Prom “night” is the deadliest night of the year for students age 15 to 18. Our students are losing their lives before they really get started. I know what you're thinking, but NO it’s NOT mostly alcohol or drug related, although we all know that is a problem. The most common reason however is driver error due to distractions and inexperience behind the wheel. Students shouldn’t be driving other students to this school event. The RightWay Student Safe-Rides Program wants to help put an end to the risk of “Prom Night Student Injury & Death!”
Parents naively assume their students are safe with any hired Car service WRONG! The unregulated Limousine Industry is just another predator to ALL our students! With unlicensed/uninsured Bandit companies and substandard dangerous vehicles they are putting students in on the road. Every year you hear of more and more injuries due to Livery (Limousine Company) using LimoBuses, Limousines, and Sedans all unmaintained and to make things worse… They pick up “day workers” (many have criminal records & no driver’s license) to drive YOUR KIDS! NOW is the right time for The RightWay Student Safe-Rides Program in our schools. Our program is designed keep students safe going to and from their Prom by regulating the Livery Companies involved with our RightWay Livery Association programs. The state has failed the public in the regulation of the Livery Industry (Limousines) in many states (including California). The majority (90%) of Prom goers are using a dangerous bandit Livery (Limousine) company or unlicensed Livery operator. How does this happen? Innocent students and trusting parents are just looking for the "lowest price" and nothing else. Our fundraising program ensures ALL students ride in a "Licensed & Insured" Luxurious Limousine regardless of their families’ financial abilities. Our Schools are becoming Battle Grounds, We all need to become involved and invested in the safety and future of our world. Our future is in all students WE MUST do what we can to protect them.
