We’re still smiling over all the fun we had at the Fried Green Tomato Festival hosted by Irondale cafe! 🍅💚 Here are a few more pictures from a wonderful evening spent bringing our community together to support local children.

What an incredible night! 💚🍅 Thanks to everyone who supported the Fried Green Tomato Festival, we raised an amazing $5,400 to help local children!

We are so thankful to the Irondale Cafe for hosting this event and to our generous sponsors for helping make this event possible. Your support allows Heidi’s Kids to continue making a difference in the lives of children throughout our community.

Join us TODAY from 5–8 PM in Historic Irondale for live music, family fun and plenty of chances to win, all while supporting Heidi’s Kids! Food, beer and wine will be available for purchase. 💚

We had the best time celebrating Mickey Drinkard’s 50th birthday last Saturday! 🎉

In true Mickey fashion, the night was filled with darts, karaoke, barbecue, raffles, and even an auction for an amazing cheesecake—all while raising money for her favorite charities.

Mickey is an incredible friend and dedicated Heidi’s Kids volunteer, and we absolutely adore her. ❤️

Thank you, Mickey, for raising $500 for Heidi’s Kids! We love you and hope you had the BEST 50th birthday!

The Fried Green Tomato Festival is almost here, and we have some BIG thank-yous and exciting announcements!🎶

First, we are incredibly grateful to all of our 2026 Fried Green Tomato Festival sponsors! ❤️ Your generosity and support make this event possible and, most importantly, help Heidi’s Kids continue supporting local children in need. We truly could not do what we do without businesses, organizations, and families who believe in our mission.

🎶 NOW… LET’S TALK MUSIC! 🎶

We are so excited to welcome MUDKATZ to the stage for a night of live music! Joining them will be our special guests and opening acts Scott Best and Jemison Thorsby! 🎸🥁

And come hungry! Irondale Cafe will be serving a $12 meal featuring chicken tenders, mac & cheese, fried green tomatoes, a cookie, and your choice of drink — with 100% of the proceeds going to Heidi’s Kids!
