Faith Through Fire

Faith Through Fire Navigating breast cancer better. Replace anxiety and fear with hope and a path toward thriving.

This is what hope in action looks like.

Thank you to Molly for sharing her experience with us, and to Dr. Aislynn Vaughan at SSM Health - St. Louis for connecting her with Faith Through Fire.

So much of our community grows through personal referrals and trusted provider partnerships. Every recommendation helps more women receive the support, connection, and healing they deserve during and after breast cancer.

If Faith Through Fire has impacted you or someone you love, we invite you to share this post. Together, we can reach more women who may be looking for hope, community, and support on their breast cancer journey.

Come hang with us!

Through candid conversation, fresh perspectives, and a touch of humor, the Besties unpack a real anonymous listener story. Together, they explore fear, family dynamics, boundaries, the shame that can come with asking for help, and how cancer can magnify relationship patterns that existed long before diagnosis.

And it’s all possible at our House of Hope at Innsbrook Resort!

What is the House of Hope?

As we supported breast cancer survivors through mentorship and community, we recognized a deeper need for rest, healing, and meaningful connection. That vision became the House of Hope: a respite home created for the Faith Through Fire community to enjoy with their loved ones.

And yes, every stay is free.

Throughout the year, members of our community are invited to step away from the stress of everyday life, spend time in nature, reconnect with themselves, and create lasting memories with the people they love most.

If you are interested in applying for a stay at the House of Hope, visit www.faiththroughfire.org/respite-house/

If not now, when?

One of the most common shifts we hear from survivors is how they now prioritize protecting their peace.. and with great reason.

You do not owe everyone access to your energy while you are healing. It is okay to say no to conversations that drain you, relationships that exhaust you, and expectations that leave no room for your own well being.

Boundaries are not walls. They are acts of self respect. They create space for rest, healing, faith, and the people who actually fill your cup back up.

The impact of one weekend is bigger than you think.

* 30+ breast cancer survivors supported
* 100% reported feeling less alone
* 100% gained tools to navigate survivorship
* 98% satisfaction rate
* Participants experienced an average 35% reduction in anxiety (GAD-7)
* Those entering with moderate to high anxiety saw the greatest improvement

This is what it looks like to close the gap in care — not just emotionally, but measurably.

Because no woman should get stuck in fear after diagnosis.

What happens when breast cancer care focuses on the disease but misses the emotional experience of the person living through it?

In this episode of Besties with Breasties, Beth and Jamie sit down with licensed clinical social worker and researcher Dr. Renata Sledge to explore the emotional and relational side of cancer care.

Together, they unpack how fear, family dynamics, medical pressure, trauma, and people-pleasing can shape treatment decisions in ways many patients don’t fully recognize until later.
