🍕💜 A BIG Thank You to our Indianola Domino’s! 💛

We want to give a huge shoutout to our friends at Domino’s in Indianola for generously donating Thursday evening’s meal for our Whittier Elementary and Purple & Gold Preschool teachers and staff during parent-teacher conferences!

We are so grateful to have wonderful community partners who step up to support our school and help us show appreciation for our hardworking teachers and staff!

We also want to extend a special THANK YOU to all of our amazing Whittier families who donated drinks and desserts for both nights of conferences! Your generosity helped us provide meals and treats for our staff during two very busy evenings.

🎄📚 Christmas Shopping That Gives Back to Our Classrooms! 💜💛

We are 6 weeks away from Christmas!! 😳
It is time to start thinking about those Christmas gifts, stocking stuffers, or fun activities for the kids! Don’t forget that you can still shop our Scholastic Book Fair ONLINE until NOVEMBER 8th!!

From books and puzzles to games, stuffed animals, fidgets, and other fun activities, Scholastic has plenty of gift ideas for the kids on your Christmas list! 🎁

Every purchase helps us work toward a special goal for our Whittier teachers!
This year, we’re hoping to use our Book Fair profits to give EVERY teacher $100 to spend on books, classroom supplies, games, activities, and other resources for their students!

And with winter right around the corner, the timing couldn’t be better!

As the weather gets colder and our students start spending more recess time indoors, these funds could help teachers add new games, puzzles, hands-on activities, and other fun options to keep students busy, engaged, and entertained during indoor recess!

It’s a great opportunity to help our teachers refresh their classrooms with things their students can enjoy throughout the school year, without having to purchase them out of their own pockets.

They really do stretch every last penny 😂

But, don't worry! We use the "Share the Fair" fund to cover those couple extra dollars they might need to max out their eWallet! 😂

So, when we ask you to round up at family shopping for the Share the Fair, just know it's going to make a students day to be able to get that pencil/pen mom/dad made them put back at family shopping. 😂

But let's be honest...we see you parents!! Checking out all the awesome book fair stuff, remembering all the cool stuff you got (or didn't get to have!) and wanting your student to have that same experience! 🥰

It's not a waste of money when it raises money for their school, right?!

10/28/2026

Today is the LAST day for student shopping at the Book Fair during lunch recess or their library time! We will invite all students who have an active eWallet down to the library for Book Fair shopping during lunch recess!
