Indiana County Commissioners Meeting is at 10:30am in the Conference Room, 2nd Floor, 825 Philadelphia St., Indiana, PA. We believe it helps to keep showing up, even though our elected officials do not see fit to respond to public comment. Show up and keep speaking your mind about the power plant, the 36-data center campus, or the SALDO amendment.

Indiana County Planning Commission Meeting is at 3pm in the Indiana County Courthouse, Courtroom 1, 4th Floor, 825 Philadelphia St, Indiana, PA. As you know, the Planning Commission is currently reviewing Amazon Web Services application to build 36 data centers near the site of the gas-fired power plant. They have until late November (90 days from the date AWS filed the application, August 28) to vote on the project. In the meantime, the Planning Commission has opened a portal for public comment:

Blacklick Creek Outfall Public Meeting + Hearing is at 5pm at the Homer Center High School Auditorium, 70 Wildcat Lane, Homer City. The DEP is holding a public meeting and hearing on the industrial wastewater permit for the Homer City gas power plant, which is planned to support a massive 36 data center campus. Mountain Watershed Association + Three Rivers Waterkeeper created this excellent toolkit for us. Please feel free to share it with your folks and encourage them to attend the meeting and/or hearing:

With this morning's cold temperature, we wanted to remind you of our Stop the Cold Program, which provides FREE new winter coats and accessories to Indiana County children.

Thanks to the generosity of our community and corporate sponsors, like Diamond Drug Store, Diamond Medical Supply, Delaney Subaru, and Delaney Automotive Group Indiana, we have a lot of new coats this year and want to give away as many as possible!

Maybe you don't need assistance with Christmas gifts this year or don't qualify, please reach out to us anyway about a coat if your child is in need. Our goal is to ensure no Indiana County child is cold this year!
