We're excited to bring you another great Pysanky Egg class, this time as a series of four Monday evenings. This will allow you to pace your designs and fully enjoy the process of making these unique, one-of-a-kind pieces of art!
Each student will make two eggs, one being red, white, and blue themed.
How are these eggs made?
Pysanky is the traditional Ukrainian art of egg decorating, using hot wax, a stylus called a kistka, and specialized dyes. Our instructor, Sharon Stoika-Smay, will provide everything you need. Eggs are layered with wax and dye, creating unique designs which are fully revealed when the wax is finally wiped away. The eggs are then emptied and ready for display.
Join us for this creative series, Monday nights from 6-8pm; July 13th through August 3rd at The Artists Hand Gallery & Espresso Bar. Full details can be found under the Events tab or by visiting indianaartassociation.org. Sign up deadline: June 30th.
