🌊 Boots on the Ground. Real Impact. 🌊

This Saturday, we're heading back to the Eau Gallie Causeway and Banana River, and we need your help! This time on the East side!

Every piece of trash removed from our waterways helps protect local wildlife, improve water quality, and keep our community beautiful. From dolphins and manatees to shorebirds and fish, the impact of just two hours of volunteering can be felt throughout our entire lagoon system.

Our volunteers have already removed more than 257,000 pounds of trash from Brevard County waterways, and every cleanup brings us one step closer to cleaner shores and healthier habitats.

• We start ON TIME — please arrive early to check in.
• Closed-toed shoes are required.

☀️ June is here, and while the Florida heat is turning up, so is our commitment to keeping our waterways clean!

There’s something special about community groups that truly show up year after year — and that’s exactly who has been for Waterway Warriors.

From supporting our mission financially to helping us continue expanding the impact we can make across our waterways, their partnership has gone far beyond a logo on a flyer. Because of supporters like them, we’re able to stock cleanup supplies, equip volunteers, and continue protecting the places we all love here on the Space Coast.

What an incredible Saturday for our Waterway Warriors community 💛

This weekend, we hosted two impactful cleanups simultaneously, one at Pineda Causeway and another at Bracco Pond Park with our great partners at the Cocoa Rotary. Volunteers came out ready to work and made a huge difference in areas that directly affect our local waterways and ecosystem.

One of the best parts of the day was hearing support from the community as passing cars honked, waved, and yelled thank you to our volunteers. Moments like that remind us that people truly care about protecting our waterways and appreciate the effort being put into these cleanups.

From small debris to larger items, every piece of trash removed matters. The work done during just a few hours by dedicated volunteers creates lasting impact for our lagoon, wildlife, and community.

To every volunteer who spent their Saturday morning with us, thank you. Your passion, energy, and commitment continue to inspire us every single cleanup.

And to everyone cheering us on from the roadways, thank you for the encouragement. Together, we are making a difference one cleanup at a time. 🌊♻️

We’re excited to share that one of our founding members, Sandra Leone, will be speaking this Thursday night at the Salt Strong Space Coast Chapter meeting at the Cocoa Library! 🌊🐟

This event is open to the public and is a great opportunity for anyone who cares about our Indian River Lagoon, local fisheries, and protecting the natural beauty of the Space Coast.

Sandra will be sharing more about the Waterway Warriors mission, the work our volunteers are doing across Brevard County, and the current state of our lagoon and river systems. From water quality concerns to habitat impacts, this is an important conversation for everyone who loves living, fishing, boating, or spending time on the water here on the Space Coast.

Whether you’re already involved in conservation or just want to learn more about what’s happening in our backyard, we’d love to see you there!

WOW! What a morning at our Eau Gallie cleanup this past weekend 💛

Over 20 volunteers came together and removed nearly 2,000 pounds of trash in just a couple of hours! From small debris to larger items, every single piece removed makes a difference for our waterways, wildlife, and community 🌳

Because of volunteers like YOU, Waterway Warriors has now officially removed over 257,000 pounds of trash through volunteer cleanups alone! That impact is incredible and it only happens because people continue to show up and care about protecting our environment.

We couldn't do it without our amazing visionary and monthly sponsors! This months sponsor, Space Coast Mustang Club, have supported us big over the years and this past month. We love our sponsors and partners!

This cleanup was also extra special because we got to welcome a few more dedicated volunteers into our Yellow Shirts Club 💛

Our yellow shirts are earned after attending 3 Waterway Warriors cleanups and represent volunteers who consistently show up to make a difference. Watching this group continue to grow is one of the most rewarding parts of our mission 🤝

You do not need experience to help. You just need to show up ready to make an impact.
