🚧 Traffic Impacts on KY 536 in Kenton County for Pothole Repairs 🚧
A maintenance project on a portion of KY 536 from Banklick Road (KY 2043) to Madison Pike (KY 17) will begin on Monday, June 1. The KYTC Kenton County maintenance crew will perform in-depth pothole patching repairs to improve roadway conditions and safety for motorists. These repairs involve milling damaged pavement in localized areas and paving those sections to provide a long-lasting repair.
Beginning Monday, June 1, crews will close KY 536 between Williamswoods Drive and Greenbrook Drive from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to complete pothole repairs. No thru traffic will be permitted within the work zone during these hours. The road will reopen to traffic daily at 4 p.m.
Barricades will be placed at Banklick Road (KY 2043) and Independence Road (KY 2045) to alert motorists of the closure. Local traffic will be permitted beyond these initial barricades to access homes within the area.
Weather permitting, crews will continue repairs through Friday, June 5, progressing eastward along KY 536 toward Madison Pike (KY 17). Additional traffic impacts will be necessary, and updates will be provided as work advances.
