2026 Food Drive Update:

This year, with the generosity of our community, volunteers, FOP membership and our local sponsors, we will assist 82 families in receiving food this Christmas. 404 people of our Independence community will have a little less to worry about during this Christmas holiday.

Our FOP has never provided this many families in one year. Although times can be trying for some, the community has banned together to help support ALL of them! Being able to provide this number families is no small feat, and we were able to step up and assist them in a time of need. This year we also saw an increase in the food donated overall, which was important for mission success.

THANK YOU, to everyone who donated their food, time or money to this event! Without all the help we receive every year, we would not be able to assist others. Your generosity is overwhelming and appreciated!

This year, Lodge 75 and the Independence Police Department organized a Cops & Kids event. Officers and children from several Independence schools spent the afternoon shopping for Christmas gifts. Officers from Lakeside Park-Crestview Hills Police Department, Dispatchers from Kenton County Dispatch and employees from the City of Independence, all volunteered their time to participate in this great event! Due to these volunteers, it was a GREAT event! The children had a blast and were sent home with necessary items and gifts for Christmas. We appreciate all of our donors that helped make this event the success it was. One Holland

The Independence Police Department, in partnership with Independence FOP Lodge #75, is proud to introduce our first annual Cops & Kids program on December 9th! This event will bring local law enforcement officers together with children and families for a day of connection, mentorship, and holiday giving. During Cops & Kids, our officers will accompany children on a holiday shopping experience, ensuring each child receives warm clothing, essential items, and a few special gifts to brighten their season. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our generous sponsors who have contributed to making this event possible: One Holland, Dunkin’, LaRosa’s, and Walmart. Their partnerships have significantly elevated this event for both the children and the volunteers, and we cannot express our appreciation enough! If you’d like to donate to this event, donations may be made by check, payable to Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #75. For this year’s No Shave November, KCPD and FOP Lodge 44 teamed up to raise money in support of Lodge 75’s Annual Food Drive. Thanks to the generosity of Lodge 44 members, we were able to donate $1,000.

The food drive is happening today at the Independence Kroger from 10 AM to 4 PM.

This year, Lodge 75 along with Kenton County Schools, Generations Church, ICPAAA and numerous volunteers, provided 62 families with food for the holiday season! It was an incredible year, we recieved more food than in years past and were able to provide for an increasing number of families than in years past.

Thank you to all that have donated their time, money or food this year. All extra food that was donated and not used (there was a ton) is donated to Generations Church to help with their monthly food pantry.

Thanks to Kroger Independence for assisting us in our mission. Also, thanks to Novolex for donating bags to get this food to the families.

We appreciate any and everything that anyone did to get the word out this year. 62 families will have food during the holidays because the generosity of the Independence community. Thank You!
