Augustana District, LCMC Augustana District exists to serve congregations. This fundamental purpose is grounded in both theol Augustana believes what the Lutheran Confessions teach.

The Church is the assembly of believers gathered around Word and Sacrament. The local congregation is a "full" expression of the Church. But we do not live in isolation. Congregations who band together with other congregations enhance and support the ministry of the Gospel in the local Church and beyond. Each congregation is linked to a broader, universal Church of our Lord Jesus Christ. The prese

nce of the Word creates and unites the Church. The energy and efforts of the District focuses on congregations and assists them in ministries of Word and Sacrament.
