Enlightened Warriors is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit for Boys and Girls 5th-9th grade, a public charity organized and operated exclusively to further the purpose of education, charitable service, prevention of cruelty to children or animals, foster national amateur sports and competition. The organization has multiple chapters in Texas and California. Enlightened Warriors is partially funded by public

donations, founded in April of 2008 by Nael Chavez who had a vision to make a difference for teens in a conflicting stage of development. With athletics and mental health, we help create positive habits and interrupt the behavioral challenges. Children and youth, multiracial people, boys and girls 5th through 9th grade, at risk youth, coming from dysfunctional homes or living below poverty and struggling with mental health in the United States. 18 Years ago, in a garage in South Austin, “Enlightened Warriors” was born. It was more than a program; it was a beacon of hope for youth in 5th to 9th grade, fostering self-love through athletics and mental wellness. Today, we are still at it! It’s hard work, very rewarding. Celebrating a program that changed many life’s. We are still here.
