Our friends in Molly's Boys Jug Band have been hosting the Songwriters Listening Room at Mapleton Church in Hughesville! This series is a great opportunity to support original songwriters and watch them perform in an intimate setting. This Sunday, August 23rd, will be the last performance in this series for 2026 and will feature BBA Audition Concert Solo/Duo winner Nick Andrew Staver as one of the artists!
Hi folks, Summer is close to ending and we have three shows left this season at the Mapleton Music Project's Listening Room.
This is a final reminder that the Mapleton Music Project presents another Songwriters In The Round, this Sunday, 8/23, 4 to 7 pm. songwriters start at 5pm. This is the last Songwriters in the Round for the 2026 season. This format and the Listening rooms' quiet atmosphere is what makes our venue unique for our area. It is an intimate setting for music that you rarely find anywhere.
We have a PotLuck meal starting at 4 pm. The main dishes will be Smothered Chicken and Italian sausage with peppers and onions. Please bring a dish to share and your drink of choice.

Nick Andrew Staver (nickandrewstaver.com, the BBA's International Blues Challenge (IBC) representative heading to Memphis Jan 2027).
We had a chance to meet and perform with Nick earlier this year, and we are so fortunate to have done so, and have him in this trio.
Jerry Bresee (stringtheoryjazz.com) has an extensive history playing in songwriter circles, performing for Martin guitar workshops, and on the Millennium Stage at the John F Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
Bret Alexander (bretalexanderonline.com) Bret has been a perennial figure in the music scene for over 30 years. He plays in about 200 shows a year. He has shared the stage with Robert Plant and Jimmy Page, Bob Seger, The Band, The Allman Brothers and countless others. His band the Badlees were also inducted into the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame in 2023. We were honored to have Bret with us on the same bill for a ticketed event at the Jeremiah Room above the Bullfrog Brewery in April of this year, to a standing room only crowd!
At 6 pm. We continue music with an outside show after the featured artists- weather dependent. Bring a lawn chair. The Mapleton Music Project is supported by your donations at the show. Support Live Music! Support songwriters! Spread the word! We are attempting to build a community of local songwriters and music listeners, being a venue for touring songwriters, and offering a place for live recordings.
