There will be a boosters club meeting at the high school on September 10 at 7:00 PM. In addition to our brief meeting, we will be assembling two new cabinets to house the club’s gear.

If you’re interested in what we do or in becoming a booster club member, please plan on attending.

So proud of these kids. They have not only stepped up to run our stand at the Lycoming County Fairgrounds, they are representing the club, themselves, and the families that support us to do the things that we do. Please stop out and support these kids before the fair ends on 7/18. They’ll even teach you how to cast if you ask.

We are happy to announce the creation of a new scholarship being awarded this year:

The Steve Little Youth Fly Fishing Scholarship

The Steve Little Youth Fly Fishing Scholarship embodies dedication, passion, mentorship, and the spirit of fly fishing for the next generation. It is named in honor of Steve Little, a highly respected and actively involved member of the Hughesville Fly Fishing Boosters Club, in recognition of his ongoing commitment, leadership, and countless hours of volunteer service to the club and its youth programs.

This scholarship celebrates Steve’s living example of what it means to be a true steward of the sport. Through his continued time, effort, and enthusiasm, Steve has inspired many young anglers by teaching skills, modeling strong sportsmanship, promoting conservation, and fostering a deep respect for the outdoors. The award seeks to recognize and support a graduating senior who best reflects these same qualities.

At its heart, the Steve Little Youth Fly Fishing Scholarship represents the passing of the torch from one generation of dedicated anglers to the next. It honors students who demonstrate genuine passion for fly fishing, ethical angling practices, environmental stewardship, leadership within the club, and a willingness to give back to their community.

This scholarship is more than financial assistance — it is a tribute to character, perseverance, and the vital role that mentors like Steve Little continue to play in keeping the traditions and values of fly fishing alive and thriving.
