This summer, the Mitford Museum was honored to have its very first student intern. Ethan Craig, an incoming freshman at Lenoir-Rhyne University, assisted the museum’s curatorial manager with cataloging, photographed visitors and events, and helped with a multigenerational summer reading program. Ethan did a fantastic job, and we wish him the best in his academic studies this fall!

You can read more about his experience at www.lr.edu/news/home-mitford-museum.

We are currently accepting applications for our next internship opportunity in the Happy Endings Bookstore. Please see the link below to learn more and apply.

Gene and Donna of Northern Virginia love The Mitford Series, and they recently visited us on their anniversary.

Gene shared, "Oftentimes, it's in the car, with me driving and Donna being the 'audiobook narrator,' reading aloud to me. We pause and discuss them between the chapters. So delightful!"

What's your Mitford Moment? We'd love to hear how the books have touched your life in the comments below.

The Mitford Museum & Happy Endings Bookstore are open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. Plan your trip at TheMitfordMuseum.org/explore and be sure to arrive by 3 pm to allow ample time for your visit.

𝐌𝐒𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬.

Here is a story to share from a few of our recent visitors. Teresa, Trudy, and Kim, sisters from Tennessee and Illinois, once got together and baked an OMC for their father. Along with the cake, they gave him a photo of them baking it in their aprons. He treasured both the picture and the cake.

Although he has since passed away, the sisters recently reunited for a girls' trip to visit the Mitford Museum, honoring both their father and the stories that brought them together.
