PUPDATE:

🐾🩷 our sweet Ginger who was adopted about 7 months ago loves camping were told and she fits right into her new families lifestyle! It was meant to be! Ginger was round and rescued in Troy and had a chip, owner was contacted and didn’t want anything to do with her so we assumed she was dumped but now she had her happy forever life!! Thank you so much for this wonderful update and these adorable photos!

This is the dog I tried to trap on Spalding Road she went missing last Saturday Kylie sent me the screenshot of the guy that found her this morning and I went and picked her up and reunited her with his owner with her owner

🐾❤️ VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! ❤️🐾

You don’t have to foster to help save a life!

Hearts of Paws Trap and Rescue is a small, foster-based nonprofit rescue. Our volunteers are essential to helping us care for dogs, support foster families, attend community events, and keep our rescue running.

There are so many ways you can lend a paw:

🐶 Help at fundraising and community events
🐶 Run or assist with our rescue booth
🐶 Transport dogs to and from veterinary appointments
🐶 Deliver food, crates, and supplies to foster families
🐶 Share our adoptable dogs, events, and fundraisers
🐶 Help wherever an extra set of hands is needed

Whether you can help regularly or only occasionally, your time can make a lifesaving difference. Every event, delivery, ride, and shared post helps us reach more people and say “YES” to another dog in need.

🐾 FOSTERS NEEDED—OPEN YOUR HOME AND HELP SAVE A LIFE! 🐾

Hearts of Paws Trap and Rescue is a small, foster-based rescue. This means we do not have a shelter or facility where rescued dogs can stay. We can only save a dumped, stray, or abandoned dog when we have an available foster home.

Simply put: No foster home means we cannot say yes to the next dog who needs us.

Fosters are imperative because they give rescued dogs:

❤️ A safe place to decompress and feel secure
🐶 Love, structure, and a dependable routine
🏡 Experience living in a home environment
📝 Time for us to learn their personality, habits, and needs
💕 A better chance of being matched with the perfect forever family

As a foster, you provide the temporary home, daily care, patience, and love. The rescue provides approved veterinary care, food, a crate if needed, food and water dishes, a collar, a leash, guidance, and continued support. We also handle the adoption process and find the dog’s forever family.

Foster stays can vary, and foster-to-adopt is allowed if you happen to fall in love!

Every foster home creates room for another dog to be rescued. You may think you are only helping one dog, but by fostering, you are helping us save the dog in your home and the next dog waiting for help.

Ava is the perfect mix of smart, athletic, playful, loyal, and loving. She may take a little time to warm up to new people, but give her a chance to get comfortable and you’ll get to see the wonderful girl hiding underneath. Once Ava knows you’re her person, her sweet, playful, and protective personality really shines! 🥰

Jade is a 1½-year-old Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix weighing around 13 pounds. She can be a little timid when meeting new people or adjusting to a new environment, but once she realizes she’s safe, her sweet personality starts to shine. ❤️
Jade is smart, crate trained, and house trained. She also loves playing with other dogs and enjoys having furry friends to romp around with. 🐶🐾
Once Jade gets comfortable with her people, she becomes an absolute cuddle bug. She loves sitting beside you, snuggling up, and soaking in all the love and attention.

She’s house trained AND crate trained, knows her basic commands, listens well, and is eager to please. Zoe absolutely loves kids and other dogs, making her a wonderful fit for a family or a home with furry siblings.
Zoe has the best balance of playful and sweet. She loves to run, play, and have fun, but when playtime is over, she’s more than happy to settle in for some serious cuddles. 🥰
