A Proud Milestone for TCF USA Houston Chapter — and a Celebration of the Power of Education

Two years ago, one of our TCF Houston chapter youth volunteers, Anum, began writing a story after visiting a TCF school during her visit to Pakistan. What started with imagination, a love of reading, and a blank page grew through dedication and perseverance into an officially published book, Crown of Fallen Dreams, and is now available on Amazon. Anum’s debut novel has already won 2026 National Scholastic Gold Key award.

As we celebrate this milestone, sharing it with the TCF community feels especially meaningful. Anum’s journey is a reminder of what can happen when young minds are given access to education, literacy, encouragement, and the freedom to dream.

Every child deserves the opportunity to read, write, imagine, and discover what they are capable of. This is why the work of The Citizens Foundation bringing quality education to children in underserved communities across Pakistan, is so important.

We hope Anum’s story can, in its own small way, encourage other young people to pick up a book, put pen to paper, and believe that their own ideas and stories are worth sharing.
Here’s to educating young minds, promoting literacy, chasing dreams, and writing new chapters.

Support our young author and order your copy of Crown of Fallen Dreams today on Amazon:

Thanks to Anum’s dedication to TCF, a percentage of sales will be donated to TCF to help educate underprivileged children in Pakistan.

The change we see in TCF classrooms carries into homes and communities. It is felt when a child gains the confidence to speak up, when a graduate pursues a path once thought out of reach, and when an adult learns to read with independence.

Our latest numbers reflect the scale of that impact. Behind them are years of teaching, learning and persistence.

To everyone who has stood with us: thank you! These numbers are your impact, too. Together, we’ll keep creating change through education.

There is something powerful about seeing children learn with joy. When a child is given the chance to learn in a safe and supportive school, confidence begins to grow, and the future starts to feel full of possibility. This is what education makes possible.
