High Intermediate/Advanced Horton Technique will include the fundamentals of the Lester Horton technique, the foundation of choreography performed by the Alvin Ailey Dance Companies. The class will consist of studies to stretch and strengthen different areas of the body such as flat backs, primitive squats, lateral stretches, release swings, leg swings, deep lunges, and Lateral T positions. A culminating combination will emphasize musicality and dynamics within the movement vocabulary.
