There’s something incredibly special about watching students grow up inside a program — and even more special when they choose to come back. 💙

Tonight, 15 of our 24 Mission Success alumni returned for our Alumni High School Game, and it filled our hearts with so much joy. From middle school practices and homework help to college acceptances, internships, and now adulthood, these students are proof that Mission Success is more than a program — it’s a lifelong community.

There are not many places where young people spend 7+ years growing together and then come back as adults to mentor, support, compete, and pour into the next generation. Seeing our alumni reconnect with current students, coaches, and one another reminded us exactly why this work matters.

To our supporters and donors: thank you. Your investment does not just create opportunities for today — it helps build a community that students carry with them for years to come. Because of you, our alumni always know they have a home at Mission Success. 💫

Yesterday was an incredible day at the PEERS Competition! 🎉

Throughout the entire school year, nine of our HS student-athletes met weekly with UH Honors College student mentors to develop a solution to the question: “With $5 million, how would you improve the environmental health of Houston?”

For the second year in a row, one of our Mission Success teams took home 🥇 1st Place out of more than 20 teams from high schools across Houston!

Our students focused on PFAs (“forever chemicals”) and the increased environmental runoff surrounding AI/data centers. They designed an innovative home filtration solution and even created a 3D-printed prototype of their product.

We are incredibly proud of the innovation, commitment, collaboration, and academic rigor our students demonstrated throughout this experience. At Mission Success, we are committed not only to helping students become the best versions of themselves, but also empowering them to improve quality of life for others — especially vulnerable communities in Houston and beyond.

Huge thank you to the PEERS program, the UH Honors College mentors, and everyone who supported our students along the way. 💙

2019 ➡️ 2026 🎓

From Mission Success to the University of Pennsylvania.

We are so proud of Gina as she prepares for her next chapter at University of Pennsylvania this fall!

Gina and her brother Garv have been part of Mission Success since 2019, taking advantage of every opportunity along the way. While Gina heads to Penn, Garv continues his journey as a rising junior at Boston University.

This past year, Gina balanced academics while working at a local elementary school as a tutor and after-school care provider — already giving back to the next generation while building her own future. ❤️

At Mission Success, our support does not stop at high school graduation. We continue walking alongside students through college, internships, career exploration, and post-secondary success because long-term support changes lives.

To our donors and supporters: thank you for making stories like Gina’s possible. Your investment creates opportunities that open doors for students across Houston.

We cannot wait to see what Gina accomplishes next. 💙

Thank you to our guest Pilates instructor, Morgan Braud! Our students had a wonderful experience trying mat Pilates as part of our wellness program curriculum. We strive to expose our students to a variety of physical activities that support both physical and mental well-being.

Two graduations. One incredible milestone. 🎓💙💛

This year, Michelle graduated from high school while also earning her Associate Degree through her early college program at Houston City College.

This is the impact of long-term investment in students.

At Mission Success, we work alongside students and families for years, helping young people navigate academics, post-secondary planning, mentorship, and career pathways so they can find the right fit for their future. Michelle’s success is a reflection of what becomes possible when students have consistent support, access to opportunity, and a community that believes in them.

By graduating with both her diploma and associate degree, Michelle is beginning nursing school already ahead of the game, saving valuable time and future college costs while moving closer to a meaningful career in healthcare.

Support from our donors, volunteers, and community makes stories like Michelle’s possible. Thank you for helping us create pathways that change the trajectory of students’ lives.

Congratulations, Michelle — we are so proud of you and excited for everything ahead! 🌟

Building the next class of leaders 💥

Today, our student-athletes stepped into leadership roles, welcoming incoming magnet students and sharing what Mission Success is all about.

From academics and college access to squash and wellness, they spoke firsthand about the opportunities, expectations, and community that define our program. These moments matter, peer-to-peer connection is often what makes a student say yes to something that can change their trajectory.

We’re proud to see our students not just participate, but lead.

The next generation starts with them. 💙

As the school year winds down, our students are doing anything but slowing down.

From competing in Bronze tournaments, to celebrating milestones like prom, to traveling across the country for new competitive opportunities—this season has been full of growth, commitment, and unforgettable moments.

In between it all, our students are still showing up where it matters most—putting in the work academically, finishing strong in their classes, and staying focused on their goals beyond high school.

This is what Mission Success looks like in action:
Balance. Discipline. Exposure. Opportunity.

We are incredibly proud of how our students are navigating this busy time of year—on court, in the classroom, and in life.

And none of it happens without the support of our community. Thank you for helping make these opportunities possible.
