Still on a high from our Jazz Houston Youth Orchestra Fundraising brunch✨ A room full of love, generosity, and belief in these incredible young musicians.
Special thanks to our incredible hostess and chair, June Deadrick, for setting the tone for such a beautiful and impactful gathering.
Because of this community, our students are heading to the Essentially Ellington Festival in NYC next week and on to Miami in June with real momentum behind them. The future of jazz looks very bright!

We are incredibly grateful for our JHYO families. Because JHYO is entirely extracurricular, everything we do is made possible by your dedication and support. From long hours of travel to countless drives to rehearsals and performances, to investing in lessons and equipment—you make it all happen for your children.
It means even more when you’re able to see the growth and results of that commitment. Thank you for trusting us to be part of your child’s journey.

We want to do a big thank you shout out to those who have contributed so far to our campaign to send the JHYO to NYC for Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band Competition and Festival. Every contribution- big or small- puts our students one step closer to the bandstand. We really couldn’t make this happen for our students if it wasn’t for you. Thank YOU for directly making this opportunity of a lifetime a reality.

Who else knows this feeling? The feeling of giving it your all. Giving it every waking moment of your day. Waking up in the middle of the night and your brain is still mentally practicing. Dedicating your life to refining a skill and putting it all out there then waiting with anticipation if that hard work helped you achieve your goal? The Jazz Houston Youth Orchestra knows this feeling and we are so proud they saw the reward of their efforts!
