☀️🏐 Learning, movement, and lots of smiles! 💙

At FODS, physical education is about so much more than exercise, it’s about building teamwork, communication, coordination, and confidence while having FUN! Ms. Abby always finds creative ways to keep our participants engaged, and a simple game of ball in a circle turns into opportunities for cheering each other on, taking turns, staying active, and making memories together.

🍔💙 Lunch outings are always better when they’re spent supporting businesses with a heart for their community.

A huge thank you to Little Matt’s for welcoming our FODS family! The burgers are delicious, the service is fantastic, and the mission behind the restaurant is truly inspiring. Little Matt’s was founded on faith, love, and hope, with a commitment to giving back to families connected to Texas Children’s Hospital and honoring children who have faced serious illnesses. 💙

We love supporting businesses that use their success to make a difference, and Little Matt’s is a beautiful reminder that a meal can do so much more than fill your stomach, it can help spread hope throughout our community. 👶💙 Future FODS Participants! 💙👶

One of the sweetest parts of Down Syndrome Awareness Night was meeting so many beautiful babies and young children with Down syndrome and their amazing families.

We were honored to gift a few of our Down Syndrome Awareness bibs and welcome these little ones into our growing community. Seeing parents connect, ask questions, and simply know they’re not alone is exactly why awareness matters.

To these precious babies: we can’t wait to watch you grow, learn, laugh, and shine. The future is bright, and there’s a whole community cheering you on every step of the way.

💙⚾ What a night! ⚾💙

We are still smiling from the very first Down Syndrome Awareness Night with the Houston Astros!

Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets, stopped by our table, picked up a tattoo or sticker, shared their stories with us, and celebrated alongside our incredible community. Most importantly, thank you to our participants and families including our Board Members who showed Houston exactly what inclusion, friendship, and joy look like.

A very special thank you to the Houston Astros for welcoming us to Daikin Park and helping make history. Seeing Down syndrome awareness celebrated on such a big stage meant so much to our families and to the individuals we serve each day.

We left with full hearts, new friends, and a reminder that our community is strong, vibrant, and growing.

Thank you for cheering with us, advocating with us, and believing in a world where every person with Down syndrome is seen, valued, and celebrated.

A huge thank you to the amazing women of the Cy-Fair Women’s Club for selecting Friends of Down Syndrome as a recipient of your 2026 Minor Project Funding Grant! 💙💛

Because of your generosity, we will be able to create raised garden beds, purchase picnic tables, and add shaded seating areas to our campus, giving our participants even more opportunities to learn, grow, socialize, and enjoy the outdoors.
